Ok, how about another one? A ‘behind the scenes’ image of all the amazing details.
Ho ho ho! And all that jazz everyone!
Christmas for me is one of my favourite-est seasons of the year and I really cannot believe 2010 is just a few days around the corner. It’s been a busy wedding season with shooting continuing all the way till the eve of New Year’s eve. The editing backlogs are a-piling while everyone is munching on log cakes, but I’m unabashed to declare that I’m taking just these two days off. I’m turning off my computers, access to Internet and stuffing my face with roast beef, lamb and all the desserts at the family’s annual Xmas get together. But then I’m abashed to already know I’ll be tweeting pics of food porn soon.
Thank you for all the memories, friendship and support. Be right back!
Live long and prosper. \V/

Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteSo just what does one do when one gets accepted into THE collective of Singapore’s top Wedding Photographers – the WPN (Wedding Photographers Network)?
Well, first I went ‘Wow’ and then my brain went…blank. Blank from just being blown away and humbled by the best news I could have ever heard in my career. When I first got into wedding photography, the WPN collective was THE group of photographers I looked up to, was inspired by and aspired to become. And now its all come full circle as I’ve found my own voice in photography.
I’m looking forward to collaborating in a culture, where the objective of the collective whole is to constantly take wedding photography to new heights. And that simply, inspires me.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteThe Wedding Photographers Network is a collective of photographers who believe that wedding photography should transcend the ordinary and achieve the level of art. By coming together as a collective, the WPN makes it easy for couples to find some of Singapore’s top wedding photographers in one virtual location.
Founded by several award winning wedding photographers in Singapore, the WPN aims to bring wedding photography to a higher level through sharing and instruction by photographers within the group.
Photographers accepted into the WPN undergo a rigorous portfolio selection process to ensure a high level of professionalism and a unique vision in their work.

Yen and Ken share a lovely story of how they met each other, in a hair salon in the bustling city of Hong Kong. It was a tale of a chance encounter that brought the union of two beautiful people, who love each other from across hundreds of miles. And from that meeting, brought two families from different cities together to an intimate solemnization at the Goodwood Park Hotel.
The lovely flower arrangements were done by Shirley from The Little Flower Shop.
I thought these were really original labels.
It was touching watching Yen’s father serenade to his daughter.
And the daughter returning the favour by singing to him.
The couple’s solemnization date also happened to be Ken’s birthday!
An intimate, cosy wedding at Mimolette.

Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteSo a couple of weeks back, I headed up down to Sydney with Eadwine and Gabriel for theimageisfound’s first Australian workshop. Apart from returning home a little heavier from Eggs Benedictine, Bacon & Eggs and cafe lattes for breakfast, I came back with new insights, new relationships formed with some cool international photographers, and a new plan for all things dazza.
Anywayz, here are some shotz from Zdyney.
Managed to get some shots for the ongoing We are but little people series.
Sydney in Autumn. Rain, shine, colours. Well rain mostly.
Nate and Jaclyn Kaiser were open and very willing to share and I thoroughly appreciated their no-holds-barred views. I had this feeling that if we lived in the same city, we’d be hanging out, playing Pong and watching Star Wars re-runs all day.
“Craptastic! The clouds have got the sun again!”
“Oh ho ho. Not when I have my power rangers ring!”
I like this image Ead shot of me – I decided to turn Ninja and throw shurikens at the chilly autumn weather.
Check out my facebook for some other shots from the trip.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteWoot! Woot! The image that was recently awarded at [AG]WPJA has garnered a Third place in the 2009 Brides magazine & WPJA contest in the Kids category. It’s trippy to note that I am the only Singaporean who placed anywhere in this contest. And I’m not letting it get to my head, because I know how good all the other photographers are. So…I’m not sure what else to say except, “Wow. Awesome. Sweet”.
Find out about the story behind the image here.
Check out the details on the contest at WPJA and Brides Magazine.
Start Slide Show with PicLens LiteDazza is the moniker of photographer/designer Darryl Chan.
Dazza designs and creates cool pretty things on paper and in pixels. Captures moments, etched in the grains or zeroes and ones in a photograph. Loves coffee and revels in pulling the perfect espresso extraction. Enjoys crabs (the seafood), but not prawns because he is allergic to them. Has an appetite for great music, just don’t freak out if he yelps like a dog.
